About Summer Scholars

Thank you for your inquiry into the E&H Summer Scholars Institute. We have an exciting week planned this summer (July 12-17), and we are eager to have your child join us for camp this year. Our goal is to provide each Summer Scholar with an opportunity to begin a new adventure at camp.

We will offer day classes in Environmental Science, Debate, Spanish, Creative Writing, Drama, Robotics, and Mathematics. In the evenings we will have street dances and sports, and we will take a group trip to the Barter Theater in Abingdon, Virginia.

If you choose to send your child to Summer Scholars camp, your child will attend classes in E&H academic buildings, live in a campus residence hall, and be assigned an adult counselor who will be present at all times throughout the entire week.

Tuition this year is $395, a one-time all-inclusive fee.

Important Dates:

May 19, 2009 Final day for $50.00 reservation fee and parent or guardian's signature form.
June 15, 2009 Final day for payment of the remainder of the camp fee ($345)
July 12-17, 2009 Summer Scholars Camp
